The Warren Public Library has reached out to the teen community of Warren County to ask for their input on events, activities, and programming that target teens and satisfies their needs. To this purpose, the Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G.) was formed to give teens a chance to have their voices heard. T.A.G. communicates with library staff to help find ways of improving the library, including things like the development of a “teen space” in the library, services and programs available to Warren teens, and the T.A.G. even organizes its own meetings and fundraising activities to help organize and fund those programs and services.
The T.A.G. also works with the Warren Public Library to get information about the community and, together with the library, discuss ideas on how to improve it, giving the teens a voice in the community.
The T.A.G. has monthly meetings at the Warren Library on the first Wednesday of every month. Meetings start at 5:30 PM and typically run until 6:30 PM. Meetings are open to teens and representative library staff. Pizza and refreshments are commonly provided by the T.A.G. Treasury.
